My 20+ years of clinical practice have been marked by a specialization in endoscopic joint surgeries, with a deep understanding of arthroscopic procedures and minimally invasive techniques.Comprehensive expertise in fracture and soft tissue care has allowed me to continually enhance my knowledge and skills in managing complex injury patterns. This includes the treatment of sports injuries, work accidents, and general trauma-related damage. In my surgical career, I have also gained considerable expertise in joint arthroplasty. Prosthetic care of the hip, knee, and shoulder, tailored to the individual needs of patients, is a regular part of my responsibilities, as is sophisticated spinal surgery. The latter encompasses both degenerative and traumatic indications and incorporates the most advanced techniques and technologies.
Sport & Nutrition – Senior Researcher at the Medical Institute for Nutrition Science and Technology (MINST) since 2023, specializes in individualized therapy approaches for weight optimization and the integration of sports medicine procedures. His work focuses on the analysis and implementation of bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA), body mass index (BMI), and vital substance assessments. This data forms the basis for the development of tailored weight optimization models, both in the context of obesity management and in the monitoring of nutritional disorders and malnutrition. Dr. Holtmeier places special emphasis on the management of malabsorption syndromes and short bowel syndrome, developing advanced therapeutic approaches for patients with complex nutritional needs.
Otorhinolaryngology (Tuna) Expansion of already established standards in the spectrum of ENT medicine, as well as special individualised plastic surgery using the latest procedures. The use of state-of-the-art technologies (DVT - digital volume tomography) enables new approaches in diagnostics and therapy and forms the basis of well-founded publications.
